We want to talk about healthy, nutrient-dense foods (and others, too, of course), news and information items (current and otherwise), the BROKEN allopathic medical system and the need for alternative medicine, weather, farming - hey, you name it!

A couple of breakfast ideas and some other main dish or side dish ideas, too. They sound awesome. I wanted to post the email I received with all of these ideas, but there is no link to open the entire article in a browser, so I am just putting a few links here for you to follow. The lady who does the blog is all-in for the gluten-free spin, but just change up the ingredients if you need/want to do so. I'm sure the recipes can be used as a guide only. I never have been known to follow a recipe exactly anyhow!

I'm not much for smoothies, but if you like them this offers some good ideas.

I'm not big into using my crock pot for meat. I don't like the flavor as much as I like the flavor of oven-roasted meats. But that's just me. Most crock pots today get waaaaaaaaaaaay too hot to use for anything except soups, IMPHHO. But this sounds good (minus the cumin for me, yuk, I hate cumin).

This sounds really good. She mentions storing rice - it's been my experience that if you buy rice from a health food store, you must store it in the fridge or it gets rancid quite quickly. I can't even imagine anyone buying 50 lbs. of rice at a time. It must smell horrible by the time they get to the bottom of that bag . . .
