I don't use any of those things, but I do use a search engine. I've used GoodGopher a few times and it does take some getting used to but I liked it well enough to continue using it. I've been using Ixquick but now I see that google has SOMETHING to do with ixquick (I'm not exactly sure what it is they do, however) so I'm looking for something else. Ixquick claims it still doesn't track you by following your ISP (IP) number but I'm not very confident of that anymore, to tell you the honest truth.

Check this out: http://www.naturalnews.com/056184_social_media_censorship_alternatives.html

No censorship - sounds like a plan to me!

How can places like facebook be for "sharing with *friends*" if you can't say whatever you want to say? I wondered how long it would take for facebook and all the other social bonding crap sites to start telling people what they could or couldn't do, say or share.

Not long, as you can see. Everything adopts a "socialistic" attitude at some point - meaning they know better than you. Thing is, only through freedom on the internet can we hope for our supposedly well-trained NSA workers to find and follow "people of interest". If we censor that, we shut down a valuable tool for tracking and following persons of interest, non?

In your link, breibart is the only one I've heard about.

I saw whatever I want on face book, and post the news/information I feel is important. I also point out the lies from MSM on facebook, etc etc.

google was called out during the run up to the voting about how they put certain things in the first pages and buried others 10 or more pages back. Other search engines did the same.

face book has what they call "trending" stories list on the side of your screen, most times it BS about the hollywierdos garbage or other non-news BS. I rarely open them, but do make a point of making fun of their stupid titles/subjects... Most of the names in the trending list, I have never hear of...but then, I don't watch TV or go to the movies.

One of the titles this morning was about Trumps tweet about burning the flag. I did not open their story and posted this on my page:

"Many feel this way. My husband did. He didn't agree with burning the flag etc, yet he also said he'd defend their right to do so.

It's another NON-story from the bully media, we all know they sure as hell are not reporting factual news.

“If it were up to me, I would put in jail every sandal-wearing, scruffy-bearded weirdo who burns the American flag,” Scalia said in 2015 in Philadelphia. “But I am not king.”

“Nobody should be allowed to burn the American flag - if they do, there must be consequences - perhaps loss of citizenship or year in jail!” Trump wrote in a post to his social media account."

I don't care if they want to burn a cloth flag. It's just a piece of material (likely made in China anyway). But it's the symbolism of what they are doing when they burn the flag that frosts my ***. If they don't like the flag of the USA, then they should get on a truck, bus, train, plane or whatever and get the hell out. There are other countries in this world and people who burn the symbol of the USA don't belong here.

That's my opinion and just my opinion. If they disrespect our flag, what else do they disrespect about our country and why are they even here? Get out, I say. Some guy is making a movie about foreigners here in the USA (he was just on FOX news this morning while I was getting dressed and ready for the day so I didn't pay too much attention) but he was interviewing people who are here from Somalia. Now, for all the world you'd have thought our gubmint brought those people here in chains. Every person who was asked if they'd rather be in America or back in Somalia said Somalia and that they'd rather live under Sharia law. What's astounding to me is that if they're that unhappy here, HOW and WHY are they still here?? They're probably trouble just waiting to happen. I'll bet our gubmint (especially under Trump) would be very very happy to buy them a plane ticket back to Somalia and not let the door hit them in the *** on the way out.

One thing the interviewer didn't ask (at least not on the part that was shown on tv) was if they were brought here against their will and by whom, if they came with their parents as children , and have they ever even BEEN to Somalia (i.e., do they even know what it's really like to live in Somalia under Sharia law?) and it's an important part of the equation. If I can find out the name of the guy and/or his movie or documentary or whatever it is, I'll post it here.

I tried to sign up for GAB yesterday, but there's a huge waiting line. I got a notification in my email but I just deleted it because I'm not THAT interested in the first place. I was more curious than anything. I've seen some of those names mentioned in reader comment sections at various places where I read during the day, but didn't know whether they were on the up and up or not and I don't like to click on things when I don't where the link is going to take me. :ugeek:
