This is such a great idea for those of you who like to do crafty things but don't have a lot of extra time (that would include me, BTW).

Simple enough to do, and a person could make up several pairs and sell them at bazaars and autumn church sales, etc. Why didn't I think of this??

Last weekend I found a whole bunch of old sweaters in a box in our storage room. These used to belong to my kids when they were in high school and they have no interest in them now, so I am going to make up some mittens this weekend and see how it goes. But first I'm going to talk my DH into taking a drive along the Old Hill City Road (it follows the route of the 1880 train) to look at the changing leaves. It's already been fall here for a good two weeks already, as far as the leaves are concerned. But just in the past two days they've made an even bigger change to orange, gold, bright yellows, and magnificent reds, with still a few green leaves tossed in by Mother Nature for effect!

When I get these done, whether it's this weekend or next or whenever, I'll post photos here. If someone else makes some, please post the photos here, as well. That would be inspiring!
