We want to talk about healthy, nutrient-dense foods (and others, too, of course), news and information items (current and otherwise), the BROKEN allopathic medical system and the need for alternative medicine, weather, farming - hey, you name it!

I'm so glad I never got sucked into the frenzy to buy one of these instant pots. I'm not fond of pressure cookers either, so this contraption just never appealed to me. After reading the article below, I'm sure glad I didn't get tricked into that cost for ANOTHER gadget which will soon take up valuable space in the basement!! I rely on good old pots and pans and my oven. In the summer I use my turkey roaster outdoors so as not to heat up the house and it's a great answer to just that dilemma.

I'm beginning to dislike my crock pots, too. Most of them are newer models (not like the old 1970's model, which were better, BTW) and they get SOOOOOOOOOOO hot, inside and out, that I cannot use them with children around and I have to set them on a cutting board because the bottom gets so hot I'm afraid it will ruin my countertop. New ideas are not always better ideas, nes pas?

I had heard of them. I wasn't interested enough to look into what they were. Glad I didn't waste my time or money.

I have 4 pans I use the most. A stainless steel skillet and sauce pan, enamel coated cast iron pot and small baking sheet for my toaster over. I have a rice cooker, it was a gift and I used it one time, years ago. I have a crockpot, I rarely use, I don't think it gets hot enough.
