I love beeswax lip balms but have never tried to make them myself, mostly because I just never have had the time. I saw some beautiful creamy colored beeswax pastilles at one of our local health food stores recently though, so I might give it a go for the coming winter months. Beeswax is kinda expensive, depending on how you purchase it. If you're making candles and need quite a bit, expect to pay. If you're only buying a cup or so of pastilles, it's not quite so bad. One of the links she includes shows 1 pound from Mt. Rose Herbs costing $17.00 (but that doesn't include shipping, and their shipping has gotten quite expensive in the past couple of years). So all of that needs to be taken into consideration when purchasing either online or locally, too.

Some great ideas here, if you have the time. 8-)
