I just soak my seeds in water until they sprout and then plant them. I don't use warm water because it won't stay warm anyway. Derrr......

Not sure what I think about the toilet paper or the paper towel ideas. Yeah, it would make the seeds easier to see but does it degrade without ruining (or taking anything) from the soil? I have no idea about that and they don't mention it either.
